LibreWolf uBlock Private Browsing Policy

Currently Librewolf forces ublock in private windows. I do not want this, I use the private windows for shopping and the like and would prefer to allow everything and then clear it on exit.

To allow this you need to edit

/usr/lib/librewolf/distribution/policies.json

in a text editor with root privileges and locate the "uBlock0@raymondhill.net" configuration block.

Then change

            "uBlock0@raymondhill.net": {
                "install_url": "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/uBlock0@raymondhill.net>
                "installation_mode": "normal_installed",
                "private_browsing": true
            }

to read

            "uBlock0@raymondhill.net": {
                "install_url": "https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/uBlock0@raymondhill.net>
                "installation_mode": "normal_installed",
                "private_browsing": false
            }

Then exit Librewolf and restart, your private windows no longer have ublock in them.

The only issue is you need to do this after any update of this file, it can be scripted but to be safe it is a simple true/false edit, I prefer to do this manually when needed.
